Steven has illustrated many popular books during his long career as well as written texts for his historic and biographic coloring books. His many awards include Parent's Choice Awards, the Ben Franklin Award, the Rip VanWinkle Award, the Junior Library Guild Gold Medal, a starred Kirkus review, and more. Steven is an adjunct professor in Marist University's Art and Digital Media Department.
