Ainissa Ramirez, Ph.D., is a scientist and science communicator and the author of The Alchemy of Us. This book won the AAAS/Subaru Book Prize in YA Science and was a finalist for the Los Angeles Times Book Prize. A resident of New Haven, Connecticut, she is currently writing a series of science picture books for Candlewick Press and Charlesbridge.
