This Year’s Honorees:

Louise Pezanowski answered a help wanted ad for the Friends Book Store 13 years ago, and has become one of the store’s most committed and respected volunteers. Retired from a long career as a legal secretary, from NYC law firms to McCabe and Mack, the Ossining native and longtime Dutchess County resident has two sons, Richard and John, and a daughter, Robin, three grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Honorable Albert M. Rosenblatt is among the most well-known and highly respected members of New York State’s Judiciary, having served as District Attorney of Dutchess County, as county Court Judge and on the New York Court of Appeals. Among his many accomplishments, he created the New York State Advisory Committee on Judicial Ethics. He is an active retiree who is married to Julia Carlson Rosenblatt and has a daughter, Elizabeth. The Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District is an independent entity organized to support the Library District.
