Administration

The Poughkeepsie Public Library District is a special legislative district created to provide public library service to the residents of the City and Town of Poughkeepsie, New York. As such, the voters in each municipality annually vote on an operating budget and, from time to time, supplemental and capital programs. The Library District is its own independent authority and is governed by its legislation, applicable public law, and its by-laws. For further information on the organization and administration of the Library District, contact Tom Lawrence, Executive Director at (845) 485-3445 x 3306.

Annual Report

The 2010 Annual Report to the Community was distributed with the Summer 2011 issue of The Rotunda. It is also accessible here. For further information, contact Tom Lawrence, Executive Director at (845) 485-3445 x 3306.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees typically meets the fourth Wednesday of the month (except in December, when they will meet on the third Wednesday) at Adriance Memorial Library, beginning at 7:00 p.m. For further information or to contact a Trustee, call the Library District's Administrative Office at (845) 485-3445 x3306 or send an e-mail.
