As we get ready for the Holiday Book Sale, we ask that you hold off on bringing any donations from Monday, November 11-Saturday, November 30. This will also give our amazing volunteers a much deserved break to enjoy Thanksgiving! We appreciate your understanding!
About the Friends’ Book Store:
We take great pride in offering over 20,000 high-quality used books, DVDs and audio-books in our bookstore. Our crew of amazing volunteers continuously restock the shelves from our large inventory of donated books. Most books are $2.00 or less! Proceeds earned support the Poughkeepsie Public Library District.

Please note that the Friends’ Book Store does not open on days that the Library District has a delayed opening.
The Friends of the PPLD deeply appreciate the service of all military men and women. Active, veteran, retired, and reservist military personnel are eligible to receive one free book of their choice (of equal or lesser value) per transaction. Military ID must be presented at time of checkout to claim offer. Limit one transaction per person per day. The offer includes regular and sale-priced items. The offer does not include individually or specially priced books.
