Cynthia Weill is trained as an art historian and has worked as an educator and in humanitarian assistance. She holds a doctorate from Teachers College, Columbia University. Cynthia has worked for more than 20 years with folk artisans in Oaxaca, Mexico, who supply the pieces used for illustration in her bilingual children's book, FIRST CONCEPTS IN MEXICAN FOLK ART.
