Poughkeepsie Children’s Book Festival

Free to attend. No registration required.
Meet and greet authors and illustrators (covering reading ages from preschool to Young Adult), take your picture with your favorite costumed book characters, and have fun with some hands-on activities. Books will be available to purchase, and to have signed by the authors and illustrators who made them.
Each child, 17 and under, will receive one FREE BOOK VOUCHER (valued at $15) upon entry into the Book Festival.
Book Vouchers are made possible by the generosity of the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District. *Restrictions apply.
Voucher Information and Restrictions:
- This voucher entitles the holder to a credit of no more than $15.00 USD on the purchase of books at the 2025 Poughkeepsie Book Festival.
- The voucher must be presented at the time of purchase and cannot be redeemed after March 29, 2025.
- Visitors to the Book Festival aged 17 or younger may receive one voucher.
- The voucher has no cash value and cannot be redeemed or refunded for cash.
- Any unused portion of the voucher will not be refunded or credited.
- The voucher is non-transferable and cannot be sold or exchanged.
- The voucher cannot be combined with any other offers or discounts.
- The Poughkeepsie Public Library District and its vendors reserve the right to refuse any voucher that appears to be fraudulent or tampered with.
- The voucher is subject to availability (while supplies last), and may be discontinued or modified at any time without notice.
