Saturday, July 3
10 – 11 AM: Flying with Paper
Registration required. Register here.
Learn how different paper airplane models move through the air. Some are designed to stay in the air for a long time and fly great lengths. Others are good at fancy movement, and others can’t fly very well at all! Try out the different designs for yourself.
11 AM – 12 PM: Sensory Social
Registration required. Register here.
Join us for our sensory playtime! Participate in a craft, explore sensory activities, play games, and interact with others. Sensory-friendly activities are for babies and older children. This program is Autism-friendly!


Saturday, July 10
10 – 11 AM: Yoga, Self-Care, and Mindfulness
Registration required. Register here.
Try out some gentle yoga, learn about mindfulness, and practice some calming breathing techniques. Create journals and your own stress ball to take home. For all ages.
11 AM – 12 PM: Read to the Dogs (Indoors)
Registration required. Register here.
Children are partnered with a dog for 10 minute reading sessions. The child selects a book to read out loud to a dog. Younger children may “read” the pictures. Children and teens can also learn about dogs as pets. The assistance dogs and handlers are volunteers from Visiting Paws Training School.

10 -11 AM: Become A Nature Detective!

The Environmental Cooperative leads a nature trek exploring what is growing near the library. Includes a fun art activity to take home and a nature-themed story-time for younger children.
11 AM -12 PM: African and Caribbean Drumming

Get with the beat as Drummer Clifford Johnson explores African and Caribbean hand drums and other percussion instruments.

Saturday, July 24
10 AM – 12 PM: Circus Arts & High Adventure

Learn some cool hula hoop tricks, try your hand at juggling, and experience rock climbing at our Circus Arts Workshop. Open to ages 8 – 18 years old; beginners welcome.

10 AM – 12 PM: Hoedown Block Party

Howdy y’all! Get ready to kick it up ‘country-style’ at our Hoedown Block Party complete with line dancing, face painting, country themed games, the Calm Corral, book characters, and more! Don’t miss the chance to round up your kiddos for a hootenanny of a time! For all ages.
