Summer Reading Challenge

Kids up to age 12 are invited to participate in our Summer Reading Challenge! Read, complete the reading log, and earn chances to win one of the grand prizes!

How it works:

Sign up at any library location and receive a reading log to track your child’s progress. For every 15 minutes of reading, your child colors in one “block”. When they have finished 450 minutes, they can come to the library and get one raffle entry and a small prize by playing the Library Plinko game.  When your child reads for 900 minutes, 1,350 minutes, and 1,800 minutes, they can earn more entries and small prizes.

New this year! Side Challenges! Earn points by completing side challenges for more chances to win a grand prize! Side Challenge examples include doing good deeds, book related activities, and attending Library District programs!

The Summer Reading Challenge sign up begins Monday, June 26 at our Summer Reading Kick-off Party.

The last day to turn in your reading logs is Friday, August 18.
The grand prize drawing will take place on Saturday, August 19 at our End of Summer Birthday Bash. You do not need to be present to win.
