The 2023 Big Read flagship title is The Boys in the Boat by Daniel James Brown, the true story of the University of Washington rowing crew who represented the United States at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, against the dual historical contexts of the Great Depression and the rise of Nazism.
We look forward to seeing members of the community at Big Read events throughout Dutchess County, as well as those coordinated by fellow Dutchess County libraries, author visits to local schools, and more.
