Teens on the computer

The Teen Room is located on the second floor of the Adriance Memorial Library. Find out what's happening for teens ages 13-18 on our Teen Scene page! To get in on the action, teens must complete a Teen Room Access Form, which can be printed here or picked up in the Teen and Children's Room on the second floor of Adriance, and must present their library card or School Photo ID (current year) in order to enter the Teen Room.

Tech-Savvy Teens Needed
PPLD has been awarded a MacArthur Foundation grant from the Institute of Museum and Library services to create a Media Lab for teens. The Teen Media Lab will be a state of the art Technology Center housed in the Teen Room at Adriance. A planning committee is being formed to create the Teen Media Lab. We are looking for teens to join the volunteer committee to give creative input from a youth perspective. If interested, print an application here or pick one up in the Teen Room or Children’s Room at Adriance. Call Teen Services Librarian Angela Panzer for more information at 485-3445 x3309.

Would you like to give your input for the Teen Media Lab? All teens are invited to take our Teen Media Lab SURVEY. Let us know what types of technology you would like to see in our upcoming media lab!

The Big Read Teen Art Contest will be accepting artwork inspired by the novel The Shawl by Cynthia Ozick. Print a Teen Art Contest Application and bring it with your original matted artwork by Tuesday, May 28. Winners will be announced on June 4.
