The Library District will be closed Memorial Day Weekend, May 25, 26, and 27.

Snapology: Let’s Get Movin’ with Legos!

Tuesday, June 4, 4-5 pm, Adriance – Cavallaro Children’s Program Room

Snapology of the Mid-Hudson Valley presents the Local Library Snapfest with a free Let's Get Movin' Class. If your child likes to build with LEGO bricks, they will love this! Young students build fun and simple models. By playing with and manipulating the models, they experience pulleys, levers, gears, wheels and axles while exploring energy, buoyancy, and balance. Just 4 Fun: Upcoming Teen Programs

Great Poughkeepsie Pizza Taste-Off Wednesday, May 15, 5-6 pm

Which local pizzeria will win the award for Best Pizza in Poughkeepsie? Teens will engage in a blind taste test as they rate the pizza’s crust, cheese and sauce. Pizzeria with the highest rating will receive the Library’s teen pizza tasting certificate to be displayed at their establishment!

 

 

 

Save the Date: Friends Big Book Sale Coming in June!

SAVE THE DATES of Friday, June 14, through Tuesday, June 18, for the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library Distirct's GIANT BOOK SALE, featuring over 150,000 books and media. Same location as last year: Poughkeepsie Business Park on Route 44, approximately 1 mile east of Adams Fairacre Farms. Same affordable prices of 50 cents up to $2.00.
