Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., an international human service organization with a chapter (Iota Alpha Omega Chapter) in the Mid-Hudson Valley since 1969, is sponsoring a blood drive in conjunction with the Red Cross, Poughkeepsie Public Library District, and the Mid-Hudson Library System. Kids' Programs & Events
Sign
up for our current program offerings for children! Kids' Programs & Events may include storytimes, book clubs, crafts, and activities for infants through 8th graders. Caregivers accompanying children under 8 years-old to programs are expected to remain in the library during the program.

PLC Programs & Events
Register your 3-5 year-olds for PLC Programs & Events at the Preschooler Learning Center, located in the Family Partnership Center at 29 North Hamilton Street in Poughkeepsie. The Directed Activity Group program includes a traditional preschool story time.

Teen Programs & Events
Sign up for our current program offerings for teens! Teen Programs & Events may include book clubs, crafts, activities, and information for 9th through 12th graders.
Tuesday, July 8, 6:30-8:30 pm, Adriance
Artists needed to design and paint a canvas that will hang together to create a mini mural “quilt”. This will teen mini-mural be hung in the library. Bring a favorite book cover, an abstract piece of technology or prepare to do a portrait of yourself or an anime character. We will be painting outside by the pavilion or incase of rain, in the program room. Canvas and paints will be supplied.
