Volunteers Needed: Book knowledgeable volunteers and people who like to pack books are needed by the Friends of the Poughkeepsie Public Library District to help sort and pack thousands of donated books, CDs, cassettes, videos, DVDs and other donated items for two large annual book sales. The Friends are dependent on the skills and dedication of volunteers to make these sales successful.

2010 Big Book Sale: Watch for details soon on our 2010 Big Book Sale, scheduled for June 2010!

Donations: You can make donations of books, records, DVDs, videos, and CDs to the Friends by dropping them off, during normal business hours, at the Adriance Memorial Library on Market Street or at the Arlington Branch Library on Haight Avenue. Material should be in sellabble condition and not include magazines, please. If you plan to bring your donations to Adriance, they should be brought to the Check-Out Desk or left in your car for us to transfer them to the Library District's van for delivery to the Friends sort location on High Street.
